In this class we will cover a brief introduction to Permaculture – the ethics, the principles, and how this relates to planting trees and using trees for their maximum benefit in the landscape.  We will discuss trees in the landscape at great length delving into the Carbon Cycle, how to plant, the soil food web, pruning, and other important information you might want to know about trees in your landscape. We will also touch on using Fruit Trees in your landscape.  There will be a hands on portion of the class planting trees in the Earthsong Forest as well as a fruit tree. We will talk about plant guilds and companion planting.  You will take home an embodied knowledge of the soil, the tree, and the relationship home along with a tree you can plant in your landscape.
